In 1976, a design and technological bureau with pilot production was created in the State Committee of the BSSR.
KTB Belgaztekhnika participated in the reconstruction of existing and in the construction of new gas filling stations on the territory of the BSSR. Units were used for the hydro-use and gasification of household and gas cylinders, as well as automatic lines for painting them in the technological process of gas-filling stations. The development and production of high-performance equipment for filling and repairing gas cylinders increased the productivity of the main technological processes several times.
Mass gasification of settlements in the republic requires a large number of pressure regulators in gas pipelines, safety shut-off valves, connecting fittings and filters. Block and cabinet gas control units were installed and put into production. It is this area in the scientific and production activities of RUE “BELGAZTEKHNIKA” that has become the mainstream for all subsequent years.
The research and production staff of the enterprise is about 300 people. In 2000, the company was given its current name RUE "BELGAZTEHNIKA".
